Can you get through the morning without a coffee, or do you reach for one as soon as you get up?

I used to love having my coffee as soon as I woke up. But over the past 3 months I've given up coffee. After doing a cleanse, I find I don't need it anymore and I have more energy.
If you give it up as I did for life, you will find like me when you get to 60, no wrinkles too :)....I haven't touched it for 48 years.

Wow that's impressive!
I have a habit of drinking a cup of tea...but sometimes coffee is just the perfect fix.
I stopped drinking it 48 years ago.
I wake up slowly, and as much peace and quite as possible, and drink water only.
It really is not good for women, in the long run.
Coffee is the perfect 'wake me up'.
I do enjoy the first mug.

I don't like coffee; not standard coffee anyway. I like liqueur coffees, and coffee flavoured food, just not coffee itself.
No, I have a morning cup of tea.
I prefer tea as soon as I get up in the morning.
I need a reason to wake up in the morning.Coffee/Tea is just a celebration of waking up.So yeah ,I dont need a 'coffee' to wake up :)
I have 2. One as soon as I get out of bed, then I potter about the house and have my second.

I generally have only those two cups in a day, although maybe a decaf at about 3pm, when I start writing.
I don't need coffee at all in the morning but can't function without my cup of English breakfast tea!
Certainly! More than one even. I have my first one at home, then another one at work. I wake up completely only after the second one.
I am definitely a "coffee" person, having written several previous posts about my coffee machine, however, oddly, I wake up and have a cup of tea, usually the only tea I drink as I don't really like tea.

I love a good coffee. A nice strong barista-made coffee. Mid morning. Not only does it give me a boost of energy, but my IQ multiplies.
Definitely not. Went to a yoga retreat at Mangrove Mtn in the 'seventies and have followed the Swami's advice ever since - clean your teeth, scrape your tongue, then drink a glass of water. If you go straight to the hot drink, imagine how much muck you are swallowing.
Yes I do need coffee, to wake up in the morning as I am one person who has Narcolepsy

Coffee is essential for me
No, it's a cup of tea for me! Don't talk to me before I'm halfway through my tea though, or I'm liable to bite you're head off!
Yup, two large cups. I'll even sometimes do 2 more in the afternoon if I really need a pick-me-up.
I haven't drunk coffee for years and don't miss it at all. I find a great (and healthier) way to get my day started is to add a little bit of fresh lemon juice or apple cider vinegar to water, and to drink that. Nothing like coffee...but it works!
No I am not a coffee person. I have green tea everyday and tea on weekends. Coffee is sometimes in the evening when I'm feeling drowsy but otherwise I generally avoid coffee.
I have one short black the minute I wake up, and another about half an hour later...can't function without them!
No I do not need it to wake up but I do like a couple of cups of coffee in the morning especially freshly brewed.
Never. I refuse to drink coffee as I hate relying on anything else. My fear is that I'll 'need' it once I start drinking coffee.
I really dislike coffee... it smells horrible. Actually I don't really drink hot drinks at all, but I don't mind a nice V energy drink from time to time.
No I don't. I rarely drink coffee or tea.
No I rarely drink it
I love my morning coffee, but if I have a glass of water first I perk up quicker than if I wait and sip through my coffee. So, I guess I don't need it, but I love it, so I'll keep having it.
No, prefer a hot 'cuppa' first thing.

Have coffee if I go out. Love a 'Mugachino'!
If 'mall mooching', might have two or three throughout the day, with food.

Don't drink tea out. Don't drink coffee at home, unless feel like an 'Irish' coffee!
