Do you go alone, with partner, or with partner and children?

Up until I came to the City, I would have at least one holiday a year and usually two.

However since downsizing and living in the suburbs, for some reason I do not feel like leaving home.

Before I did not want to leave my sick dog, however now that he has died, whilst I am slightly more interested, I have not booked to go anywhere.

I come from sydney and still have a brother and good friends over there and used to go back twice a year, but now just cannot be bothered.

I find flying a hassle, lining up at airports etc etc

Yes we have had 1 or 2 proper holidays every year for the past 8 years or so. Usually just me and my husband or sometimes other friends and family have come along too

Personally I'm not that fussed but my husband feels unhappy if we don't go away at least once a year. We didn't manage it last year as we didn't know until the last minute when we would be moving house and country, so it was impossible to plan a holiday!
We tend to travel up the river when my partners family heads up otherwise we don't make the effort as money is tight.
I live in Tropical North Qld,where the lifestyle is so glorious that I feel as if I am on holidays all the time! I feel so very blessed and have no desire to take 'holidays' at all!!
I have not had a holiday for nearly 10 years.
They cost money, so until I can I will just keep doing what I do best....work.

No I don't in recent years...have enjoyed many holidays over the years though..

I am due for one now but don't want to travel alone anymore and finding someone you get on with and who wants to go at the same time as you and who has a similar budget...is not easy....I live in hope!

I like to, but it hasn't always been possible.
Yes. I think it makes a difference to be able to get away, even if it is just outside where one considers home. It helps me recharge.
