I have had the look now for years and years, I wouldn't change.
I love the many things you can do with it, and most of my home is all in white inside.White furniture as well.
People wonder 'how' it keeps so clean, well we don't have small children
for one! lol.
I just can't see a change coming, it keeps my spirits up.
I also have white walls and lots of white furniture, I love the brightness and cleanliness of it.
Meeeeee tooooo !!! :)

I sure do! I have revamped some of my old furniture in a shabby chic style and it has totally changed the look of my house.
Wonderful! :)

You should share a pic. :)

I like shabby chic (although not the vanity table in the picture), but I wouldn't want to decorate my home that way.
Fair enough.

I always have liked shabby chic furniture and furnishings, my husband doesn't like it though, so we must compromise.

Yep that has to happen, I'm hearing you. :)

No, I do not particularly like this look -I rather have modern or very old -I do not like the style in the photo.

I have several antiques however my home is now modern and I find this far more comfortable -Iusually like unusual, way out things.

No, not my scene whatsoever.

I've furniture from my Parents, bought after the War.

Good, solid Timbe, beautiful redwood-coloured matching Bedroom, Dining Room, & Lounge Suites.

I've still my grey solid timber Bedroom suite, bought brand new from Bell Bros in 1959!
Love it, so did my son, as it became HIS bedroom suite!

Never dates, & lasts, as is QUALITY!
It's as far from IKEA as is possible to get, thank goodness!
Fair enough.

Some of it I like, but I'm not a big fan really. Much prefer the look of art deco with its very clean lines. My husband was very traditional in his tastes, and so we tended to compromise on style. After his death three years ago I re-designed my bedroom in art deco style and still love the look.
Art Deco is very nice, if you can find the good pce's... :)

You are correct jonaj, finding pieces can be difficult. I actually sourced the table I use as a dressing table through ebay. It is absolutely gorgeous - glass triangular shaped set on a big square dark green marble base. Very very heavy glass so where it sits is where it will stay. I got this on ebay for $70 - comparable consoles were $1000 - couldn't believe my luck at getting such a bargain. As for the mirror for the dressing table I bought this in K Mart of all places. It is the exact art deco style I was looking for. The tables I use for my bedside tables are also heavy glass tops sitting on a black carved elephant base - again ebay purchase for $40 for the pair. I have art deco prints on my walls and above my bed I sources laser steel masquerade masks which are simply beautiful - got them from China at a total cost for 9 of $40. So yes, art deco furniture can be extremely pricey but, if you do a bit of trolling around and are patient you can certainly pick up some bargains. I also got some decorator items when I was visiting my sister in the States. This was all bought over a period of about a year so I actually built up the collection fairly slowly.

I like the look, but I think it would be hard work to keep it like that.
My Whole house is cream and white has been for the last 12-13 yrs, in shabby chic...so easy to keep clean, you would not believe! and I have my son living with me.
