I have had the look now for years and years, I wouldn't change.
I love the many things you can do with it, and most of my home is all in white inside.White furniture as well.
People wonder 'how' it keeps so clean, well we don't have small children
for one! lol.
I just can't see a change coming, it keeps my spirits up.
Some of it I like, but I'm not a big fan really. Much prefer the look of art deco with its very clean lines. My husband was very traditional in his tastes, and so we tended to compromise on style. After his death three years ago I re-designed my bedroom in art deco style and still love the look.
You are correct jonaj, finding pieces can be difficult. I actually sourced the table I use as a dressing table through ebay. It is absolutely gorgeous - glass triangular shaped set on a big square dark green marble base. Very very heavy glass so where it sits is where it will stay. I got this on ebay for $70 - comparable consoles were $1000 - couldn't believe my luck at getting such a bargain. As for the mirror for the dressing table I bought this in K Mart of all places. It is the exact art deco style I was looking for. The tables I use for my bedside tables are also heavy glass tops sitting on a black carved elephant base - again ebay purchase for $40 for the pair. I have art deco prints on my walls and above my bed I sources laser steel masquerade masks which are simply beautiful - got them from China at a total cost for 9 of $40. So yes, art deco furniture can be extremely pricey but, if you do a bit of trolling around and are patient you can certainly pick up some bargains. I also got some decorator items when I was visiting my sister in the States. This was all bought over a period of about a year so I actually built up the collection fairly slowly.
