I Like most sushi - dont particularly like the plain ones like California.
There are a few places in Perth that do really unusual ones, and I love these.
It is something I have never tried to make myself though I have seen a few recipes published on recipeyum. I think they seem fiddly and time consuming and something I would rather just buy - and this would be one of the few foods I think this way about - most things, I like to attempt to make myself but I have never tried sushi - I have even looked at a few recipes but decided against it!
I am not a huge fan. However my kids are, so we do make it quite often.
They like being able to customise... it requires a lot less effort than you would think.
Also great for healthy school lunches.
yes! I pack it in my husbands lunchbox.
He loves it as a change from his usual
It's the effort I think it's going to take that keeps me from making it myself...I really cannot be bothered. Does that make me lazy? LOL. I make a "Sushi burger" with rice, tuna, mayonnaise, and wasabi, but I don't think that counts.
Vee..your Sushi Burger sounds like a WHOLE lot more work than making sushi lol... so I don't think you are lazy AT ALL !!
I love sushi and have no choice but to make it myself. Sushi hasn't hit this country town yet!
No. I don't like it, so have never made it. The thought of eating raw fish gives me shivers, oh, and food poisoning too ( you hear of it everyday).
it is not raw fish Lluxi - that is sashimi
I have never had it but would love to give it a try.
I do like it but have never made it. I don't buy it very often purely because I am not often near a place that makes it. I am pretty sure I would be cr@p at making it - too clumsy by half.
Yes, we enjoy it, but we only buy it as takeaway, when we have our granddaughter with us. No, I've never made it at home.
I like sushi but I don't have it very often. I have never made it.
I love Sushi. I have made it but it was very time consuming. I usually have it if I'm out shopping at lunch time. I don't eat the ones with fried fillings or mayo.
I love sushi and in school holidays I make it with the grandchildren.Never looks as neat as bought ones
I not overly fussed on it and have made it myself. One of my daughters bought me the necessary tools and foodstuff to do it. It is very time consuming so don't make it any more. Unfortunately my local Woolworths had a sushi section in it and they made all sorts of enticing freshly made packages which I bought from time to time but I guess business wasn't supported enough and the store has been demolished.
I don't buy Japanese food or products at all really. Sushi seems a nice little snack to have in place of a few usual lunch choices, but I don't see myself ever choosing it over a salad or a sandwich. You know, eat 2 large sushi for lunch and then you are hungry an hour later.
Yes and no. I enjoy going to the local sushi train. Come to think of it, I haven't been in about thirteen months. Should organise a dinner out soon!
I LOVE the stuff.
Once made it, and was a disaster!
Sushi and sashimi is big on our cuisine list - in fact all my family are big fans. I've made sushi once but it's my husband that tends to make it in our place. In fact he's making some tomorrow using Kingfish, Salmon and Tuna. We tend to use brown or black rice and usually keep it simple and use avocado with the fish.
Home made Sushi and Sashimi (albeit made by the Husband)
