I think there is something 'comforting' about a rainy day at home.
You can look out, while your warm and dry inside.
Sipping on a lovely warm drink, with your slippers on.It does evoke 'cosy', so I would have to say yes....it is one of lifes experiences I do like.
Oh Yes!! I have always loved this even as a child growing up in Melbourne. Now I an living in the tropics ,but this year it has been the driest Wet season on record,so when we finally did get a few drops last week, everyone actually went outside into the rain to enjoy it,rather than watch from indoors!!!
The shape of rain droplets and the ferocity at which it hits objects is actually quite therapeutic (indeed if watching from the confines of a dry place) - it's not so therapeutic if caught in the middle of a rain soak. It's the romanticised feeling of being warm and dry and sitting beside an open log fire while the sound of a good storm forages outside.
Sometimes. I like it better than having to go outside in the rain!
Yesterday we were driving and it started to rain - but only on the left hand side of the car! We were all fascinated by how the right hand side stayed absolutely dry whilst the left was being lashed by huge raindrops!
I have never given it a thought until I read this question! Come to think of it, I have always enjoyed sitting by the window and watching the rain. even as a child I remember peeping through the upstair window of my parents house just watching the rain. Even now, when its raining I prefer to keeps the blinds open so I can watch the rain while in bed.
Yes. I find it relaxing and comforting knowing that I am safe and warm inside. It is also nice to lay in bed and hear the rain, knowing that I am warm in a nice bed. We don't have a tin roof though.....ours is tiled.
