Do you like to use online grocery shopping for fruits and vegetables? Or do you prefer to be able to touch and smell the things that you are buying?

I shop online most weeks (though dropped Woolies as they now have a $3.50 bring to your bench charge).
However, I rarely buy fruit or vegetables online as I have found them not to my liking.
I think fruit and vegetables are something I have to pick for myself as I am fussy.

I generally do not buy them at supermarkets anyway, and drive miles away for a good fruit shop!

So, no, I do not buy online fruit and vegetables. Also their potatoes are double the price.

I do know that they have got special people now, to pick the food.

Years ago, you just got what you got.

I have watched of late, and the people doing the online shopping are Very Careful, to get the best veg and fruit.

It's quite nice to see, and often they are putting the food back....and looking for a better one.
It makes sense, because otherwise, that part of the shopping-option would fail.

They could not afford to have less than good fruit and veg, shipped off to someone in the sub's.
If I could not go to the shops, I would know that my fruit and veg were hand picked, by a person who did a good job.
I have only ever seen ladies over their 30's doing this job, they walk around with a specially made trolley, and it has tray's underneath. They also have a scanner at one side, and paperwork the other.
With Baby-Boomers ordering more on line.
I was told that One of the top 2 supermarkets charge far more, for door to door.

I will use them again, once I no longer can do the shopping myself.
If I was unwell, I would also use them.If it was also a very bad day weather wise, and we had run out of stuff, yes I would use them.
I know they take into consideration that some fruits are for later in the week to eat, and not all are 'just-ripe'.
It's common sense, and unless one tells them...It is letf to their choice.

Over all, how lucky we are to have such a service.
Food and water to the door... doesn't get much better.

But, but, but . . . when we were kids we got coal, wood, meat, bread, fruit&vege, tinkers, gypsies and the the whole world at our door. *sigh*. LOL LOL . . . . . I now wonder what my mother went to the shops for . . .

No, I don't shop online for food at all. I would especially not like to get fruit & veg, as I'm fussy as to the ripeness etc. I need to be able to see it, feel it etc.
No, just no. Too fussy.

That is one thing that I don't like doing is shopping online for fruit and veg. I prefer to feel and smell my fruit and veg, PLUS I have to rely and trust someone else to pick the best for me. I'm sure that doesn't always happen. I have only shopped online once. At a resort we were staying at, we had a fully self contained apartment. The resort offered to pick up any food we ordered online, and bring it to our room, so it was all ready for when we arrived. Great idea !!! I wouldn't normally order my shopping online , but that was an offer too good to refuse. No one likes having to go shopping for food when you first arrive at your holiday destination.
No, I don't shop online for groceries of any kind.
I prefer going to the store to select/buy. I like choosing fresh fruit/vegetables myself.
no I do not use online shopping, like to see what I am buying and decide if it is up to scratch.

No, I don't buy anything at all on line. I only shop at Aldi's & they have Wednesday & Saturday non food specials so we like looking at those while we do the shopping, but now we don't have a car, we do the shopping while we're already out doing something else.

I prefer to personally shop for all my groceries.

I actually enjoy having the time to wander the aisles', with list in hand, & select as I go.
It's very satisfying to have a well-stocked Pantry, & 'Fridge, I think.
