No I don't particularly like rum.
However when I used to eat ice cream, i didnt mind this combination as long as the rum taste was not too strong.
I just substituted almond instead of rum in a recipe and that was yummy.
I don't drink and only use alcohol in cooking and then normally red or white wine for which I usually substitute sherry anyway!
Bryony, You can still buy rum & raisin chocolate, which is rather nice, I think it only comes in dark chocolate though. I buy mine from Aldi & when it's on special at Coles, but 1 could Google it to see what else you could buy in rum & raisin, eg fudge perhaps!
That's great Rice. With me on this awful DF/GF 'diet', I've lost 7ks, even though I didn't need to loose anything. Still I don't mind it now, as I've got use to it. I also can't eat potatoes & a couple of other things, but at least I'm coughing a whole lot less now.
Oh yes!! The Old Jamaica . .. *swoon* . . . . thanks for the memory Miro :-))
I just read your reply on the salted caramel . . . I'm glad you can enjoy a tiny bit of fudge. I have have to say no to everything. However, I have dropped 2 sizes and my blood sugar has plummeted too so my doctor is ecstatic. I had put on an awful lot of weight and now I am on no medication.
