Yes, I like pumpkin soup however there are soups I possibly like more as I find pumpkin a bit too sweet.
I have not made pumpkin soup this winter and probably will not but have had a lovely home made one while at someone's place a week ago - it was slightly spicy which went well with the sweetness.
A very easy to make soup!
Yes! It's got to be one of life's little luxuries.
Its a Saturday tradition to have pumpkin soup. I am not really a lover of soup but the family likes it and I am not ready to break the tradition.
I adore pumpkin soup and make it several times every winter. I am quite happy to eat it in summer too, if the mood takes me. I prefer home made . . but don't we all?
LOVE the stuff, so easy to make and a little cream mixed in (cooking cream at the end) gentle stir, salt and pepper.
Wonderful winter food~ Yum :)
You know what? I love pumpkin soup but I don't like pumpkin. It is my favourite kind of soup. I had some for the first time when I was dating my husband. My mother in law made it and it was so smooth and creamy. I have been making it ever since, using her recipe. It is a favourite on family occasions as well. I remember making a big pot of it and bringing it into the nursing home, and we had a family party for fathers day I think. She loved the soup. It's the only recipe I use but sometimes vary it. We had it a couple of nights ago, and I made a spicy version. I think my daughter got a surprise. It had a real kick at the end.
I am the opposite, I love pumpkin (particularly roasted) but I hate pumpkin soup, I find it too thick and sickly.
My hubby thinks I'm weird, Fran
I do enjoy a good home made pumpkin soup, Another of those warming comfort foods!! I love how very easy it is to make and also how easily it can be changed with the addition of various herb and spices! I enjoy sprinkling with grated cheese as well.
Sometimes I add a little ginger and sometimes I add nutmeg.
I have done the nutmeg, but not ginger. It makes perfect sense as Pumpkin pie in a gingerbread pastry is superb!! I shall have to give this a go next time I make pumpkin soup!!
I love it! Homemade only, not packet or can.
I only use butternut pumpkin when making mine. Have made 4 huge cauldrons so far as my family love it. There's always some in the freezer. As a matter of fact, took out 2 containers to have yesterday. I can remember when we had Sizzlers restaurants nearby, my youngest would have at leadt 5 bowls of pumpkin soup (with cheese bread) as well as her favourite foods.
Love Love Love Pumpkin soup. I really enjoy a dash of cream or some chilli oil on top.
I love, love. love homemade pumpkin soup. I think pumpkin is a great vegetable, can be used in lots of ways. Mum used to add dill seed and I do sometimes. There are lots of variations, yum.
How funny... my husband and I just finished our bowls of pumpkin soup as part of our dinner. We serve it with a nice dollop of sour cream and a sprinkle of parsley. YUM! Would you believe, we recently enjoyed a cappuccino at a cafe recently and on the menu was ... pumpkin soup with a piece of buttered toast... $14.50 AU $ a bowl...WHAT??!!!??? I love eating my homemade pumpkin soup but would NOT pay that much for it ! (wouldn't be as good as mine anyway) :)
Yes, I do like pumpkin soup, and I make it when pumpkins are on special.
Yes I LOVE pumpkin soup, & always order it when I see it on a menu. I may buy enough of it 1 day to actually make my own!
Yes but its not my favorite soup. I wouldn't order it and I rarely make it.
Yes I like it, and not just pumpkin soup. Every kind of soup and cream soups.
