I love proper old fashioned home made popcorn! My mother used to make it in a huge really heavy pan with a tight fitting lid.She would put a little bit of peanut iol and brown sugar in the pan before putting the corn in,and then holding the lid in place she would keep the whole thing moving all the time until no more popping could be heard! Then it was poured into a massive bowl....all toffee covered and scrumptious! Yummmmeeeeee!!! However I must admit that I do also like buttered popcorn and have often made it the old fashioned way, rather than Microwave style.
I use to eat it, but like most things as one gets a little older, it has to be eaten
in very small amounts.
I have tried the flavoured ones like caramel etc and they rock!
We don't buy it at the movies, so only eat it every now and then.
My wife and I have an air popper and we make popcorn in fits and spurts. Sometimes we make it twice or three times a week, then we'll take a break and not eat any for a few weeks, then start right back up again.
I really like popcorn - it's a nice change from chips and the kids enjoy it too. I sometimes do microwave popcorn at home and I also buy the prepopped bags. I love to get popcorn at the movies - but can never get through the whole box!
I like popcorn occasionally and coles has an organic sweet and salty one which is a good size packet, not too big. The "movie" ones are great too but expensive and the bucket sizes are overwhelming for me. Must try some of the other ones that are mentioned here, YUM!
I don't really like popcorn. It doesn't really have a lot of flavour. I don't eat anything at the movies as I have usually had something to eat not long before. I don't like the unhealthy food available at the movies. Besides, movie food is very expensive . My friends say that when they go to the movies they BYO food.
I like it, but I don't eat it. We never bother going to the movies. I have a small packet popcorn to cook in the microwave....some time. I bought it about 5 years ago. (I wonder it the packet has a use-by date on it!) I'd love to try a salted caramel 1.
