I like mushrooms both raw and cooked.
I had them yesterday with 2 fried eggs and it was yummy.
I also made a recipe with pasta, mushrooms, asparagus and chicken and put a lot of mushrooms in as they shrink.
They often give a good taste to a meal.
I like mushrooms cooked and raw. I use them in my cooking all the time, particularly for breakfast and pasta.
I love to cook with mushrooms. They add a certain umami to dishes. I use the shitake in place of meat in sometimes.
Strange...I am getting dejevu again re this question! Perhaps I have been reincarnated or something haha
I adore mushrooms, all types...use them a lot with my vegies
I have some ready to be cooked in the fridge....Love them, and esp when really cooked.
Nothing like a bit of fungus, for the diet.
Hi Jonaj.......your delightful picture reminds me, as a kid, of my 'fairy tales' stories & their 'little houses'! Lol!
As you can see I am a hopeless (artist) pictures to me tell a story all of their own.I am so glad you like them :)
I enjoy mushrooms and always have done.As a child I would go mushrooming with my family and we would fill a huge basket.Mum would make a delicious stroganoff, and also a really lovely mushroom soup which was to die for with fresh crunchy bread and butter!! I do also like them raw in salads and I use them in stir fry meals as well.
I cook with mushrooms a lot because my husband loves mushrooms
Yes and yes! I love mushrooms and often cook with them. I also snack on them raw.
I love them. My favourite way to cook them is in butter or olive oil with garlic and rosemary, then served on toast. I also like getting a big one, like a portabello, pulling the stalk out, putting a bit of olive oil in the cap and grilling it on the BBQ (my Dad is great at this)
We slice them up on toast with melted cheese. Your method sounds delicious, Jennifer.
Do you not eat the stalk, Jennifer?
Yep, I just cook it separately so there is more room for the oil.
I absolutely love mushrooms and they are a staple in my diet so anything I can add them to I do.
L O V E mushies!
Just sliced, fried with a tad of butter, & on toast with a nice hot cuppa!
Often add to whatever I can do so for a meal.....casserole's, kedgeree's, savoury pie's, raw in salad or on sandwich, with a meat filling, too.
They're very versatile!
We love them raw or cooked-hubby and I- kids still need to be convinced !
I slice them fry a bit of onion and garlice with olive oil toss the mushies in and fry them down for about a minute then I spoon in some Philly ( 30% cooking cheese from the tub) and allow that to on a low heat and serve on the side or pour over your steak :)
Oh that sounds just lovely. I'm going to give that a go this week with a nice thick scotch fillet
Our family loves mushrooms, no matter what type of mushroom.
I have often heard them referred to as the vegetarian's meat.
They are delicious in a potato curry, or cooked in a frying pan.
I know some people will eat them raw but I prefer them cooked, Mmmm delicious.

I cook mushrooms regularly - w/all meats, soup, (mushroom and leek), omelettes etc.
Totally concur! Just love Mushie soup, never thought of it with leeks, but I know I'd enjoy it! Thank you for putting the idea into my head, & onto shopping list! Cheers!
Mushrooms are low fat, nutritious and in my opinion full of flavour. We enjoy them cooked and served on hot buttered toast, and also added to many of our meals.
I love mushrooms - if they are nice and fresh I eat them raw, If I don't eat them first I cook them in butter. Oooh I feel a mushroom craving happening now!
Fried in the pan with butter or Ghee. MMMMM for mushrooms.
Yes, I love cooked mushrooms in butter with garlic & S&P. I'm going to find a recipe for tonights dinner, with pasta & mushrooms, mixed little tomatoes garlic, & anchovies! (Or I'll just take up my own recipe!)
