No, not really. I always found there was a triad of note stranglers . . Houston, Carey and Dion. I am not disparaging their ability, I just prefer a song note for note and not a series of trills.
I definitely agree with what you are saying, why, when they have truly lovely voices ,do they have to take this 'talent' to a disturbing level by 'warbling' a note and killing a song's beauty in the process?
I think we saw the real woman at her husband's funeral.
I do like her, and she is a great talent.
Very deep person, and one of a kind.
Great voice. She is loved by so many.
I like what I see of her as a really good and decent human being, but I can only take so much of her music/singing at any one time. I feel that she warbles many of the notes far to much for me. When she is actually singing without the added dragging out of notes, her voice is lovely,so I do not understand why she carries these on for so long. There are several artists who do this and itv is what stops me buying their albums.
I haven't really heard a lot of her songs, so I cant really say. I do like the song ' My Heart Will Go On ' from Titanic, but that could just be because of the emotions attached to the music.
