I love baking cakes. I usually bake cakes on special occasions like birthdays and aaniversary.

Love baking - however I can't say that my results are always amazing! I guess that is why icing is so good because you can cover up some of the dents! ;)

Hi jonaj, that looks like an original 'Mixmaster' in that photo. My Mum had one, with a 'Vitamizer' (juicer) attachment, back in the '50's-'60's!

Sunbeam released exact same again, so I bought one, for childhood's sake! Lol!

I too have done some buying for 'Childhood sake'....just brings a little comfort and great memories :)

I like to bake, but I don't bake any more. Our oven is really crappy.

Yes, but not as much as eating them! It's nice to bake because you can control how much sugar goes in and know that there aren't any artificial ingredients.

I love baking. But I find that icing and decorating a cake is a chore I prefer not to be doing. Home baked cakes are far tastier than bakery cakes. ... And as always with home cooking you know what's in them.

I much prefer to buy cakes. There are a couple of cakes made by our local grocer that are just amazing. The one exception is cheese cake. I love making and eating cheesecake :)
