I have always loved Asparagus, even when I was just a child! Mum would make the most delicious Asparagus soup in Winter, which I can still remember!
I also love pasta recipes which feature Asparagus. So many things go so deliciously with this delightful item: Cheese, Chicken, even sweet capsicum!!
Hmmm.... Now I have got myself thinking about dinners later in the week!!!
Grew up on Edgell Tinned 'Sparrow Grass' Spears! Love the brine liquid.
Enjoy it on toast, with cheese atop, then grilled. Yum!
Fresh, steamed, I'll eat out, but not at home. Steamers are way too exxy to warrant purchase use, for me.
We regularly have asparagus as a vegetable with hollandaise sauce on it. From time to time I have a tinned asparagus sandwich with pepper on it and also use it in salads.
I love asparagus but it hates me . . . . afterwards. Oh why does it have to be so diuretic? I love it raw, I love it lightly steamed and I love to make crab and asparagus soup but I always know I will pay for it over the next twelve hours :( Luckily, I have my own ensuite.
YES, but I only buy it if it's Australian grown. I use it in stir-fries & I take the bottled asparagus to picnics, tipped out into my long green Tupperware container, which they fit very nicely into!
I love asparagus fresh or tinned. I remember asparagus rolls at celebrations at home (white fresh bread rolled out and containing a WHOLE spear of asp. WOW).
I love asparagus soup, or asp.on toast with cheese grilled and melting all over it. The tinned variety I can eat the whole tin and then drink the liquid. Yes, very nice.
