Do you keep your books neatly on a bookcase? Are they ordered in some way? Or are they scattered throughout your home?

I do indeed keep my books neatly on shelves. At the moment, immediately post move most of them have been unpacked but they were put on the bookcases quite randomly by the removal men so I am looking forward to some happy happy time spent by myself sorting them out and getting them all in order.
My books are all over the place. Some are on the bookshelf - and it keeps bugging me because they are not in sort of order...I like to order my books by author, keeping specific series together and also by topic for my non fiction ie: all cookbooks together, all pregnancy and birth books together. I also have several boxes of books and books that are randomly scattered - either because I am reading them or because one of the kids got to them. I can't wait to have a study that the children can't access where I can safely and neatly store all my books!
Neat and tidy.
In a special cupboard in my bedroom.
I don't like mess.
They are not in order, but that's fine, I don't have more than 2 dozen... anyway.
No, they're piled up on my bedside table. I don't have as many these days as I download a lot of books onto my iPad.
All on bookcases throughout the house, some stacked on my bedroom table. In categories : gardening, craft, self help etc. Occasionally weed out the odd one, but not often. They are well loved and looked after :)
In my former house, had my 'Library' in the Lounge Room!

My beautiful books were organised into subject matter, then in size order.
Anybody who viewed it, commented on it, as my subjects were many & varied!

Sadly, no longer in my beautiful home, but a 'hovel' that hasn't even got cupboards, except in Kitchen!
So I don't get to view, let alone read, my lovely books anymore, as they in storage! Will most probably NEVER see them again! Makes me very sad.

Yes I used to collect books and have bought some beautiful book shelves to hold my old books.
