Do you prefer to keep in touch with friends and acquaintances by phone or by email?

Or perhaps you use texting or Social media?

Which one do you use?

I prefer the internet, although I know my family prefers the phone, so I use the phone to contact them more often than not
I'm not good at long talks on the phone, but I will use it if I have too.
I like emails.
I also really like snail mail, because it is tangible.
Internet. I hardly ever use the phone, except with my mum. Mostly my friends and I email and sms each other.
A combination of phone and internet, and very occasionally "snail mail".
I amin touch with my friends by all means, internet, phone, socialmedia.
I don't like using the phone, so I use email whenever possible.
A combination of them all. I use Skype a lot as I changed countries and international calls are so expensive. I try to call some of them from time to time, though. On birthdays, for instance, I would rather call than write an email.
I also prefer the Internet having some odd phobia about using the phone -I will always email and SMS rather than pick up the phone, and glad to see I am not alone in this!

By internet, easier and you can control how long you go on etc....Fran

I tend to use the internet all the time - seems so much easier although not as personal - think it becomes a habit after awhile.
I prefer phone. They can also text to my mobile.
By phone. Nicer to hear their voice and communicate in real time. I do email overseas friends but that's all. More personal to TALK on the phone.
For local family it is by phone or SMS. For my friend in the USA I email frequently because I always have so much to tell him but I do phone him about every 3 months as it's cheaper for me to do this on the Telstra plan the home phone is on.
Only by email, but our youngest daughter hardly ever answers my emails, with the answers to the questions I ask her, in the emails, so I do have to phone her for the answers sometimes, if it's really important! I've only sent 2 txts, about 4 years ago, & have never used other social media.
