Do you hold on to your kids' toys for nostalgia sake when they've grown up?

I have toys that are 22 years old.They still work, and the other day we had a look at some in a box.
My son said ''Oh! Mum I remember that at the side of my bed, and his face lit up.
I would encourage ANY parent, please keep the toys your child likes the best.
You only need to keep 2-3 of them.I still also have a little rag doll, that my 38 yr old loved to hold.
It is about 34 years old now, and looks like it has been in a war zone!

I have my own 55 yr old teddy, I got when I was 5yrs old.
I still have my first tea set too.That would be about 54 years old.

One of my sons had leggo, and it has been passed onto his son 30 years later.
Wonderful memories, and part of a childhood of days long gone.

I imagine I will be one of those mothers who keeps a couple of things for nostalgia's sake. My mother in law kept quite a bit of her sons' stuff. We still have his Lego, quite a lot of board games and even a couple of bikes and scooters.

I have a couple of items that I will keep for the grandkids because they were so treasured, but mostly I hand things along to other families or vinnies.

Unfortunately I did not.

I ended up collecting all sorts of things, including books that my children had when they were little!

Such a shame as I was never interested in keeping things till I got a lot older. Everything was given away after they stopped playing with them, so NO I did not hold on to anything apart from their security blankets.

I passed them on or gave to charities.

I have kept some , the grandchildren love to play with toys their parents had as children, still have my own chilhood books
