I met on a chat one lady my age, we talk about our families, and
things we have in common with emails. We share ideas, and pictures of our families. She is in America........I'm in Australia.
Yes, I do... I've just moved interstate and so Facebook is the best way to stay in contact with my friends until I jump on a plane to go and visit, or, better yet, they visit me!
I've a dear friend I met in a chat room many years ago when he was suffering PTS as a result of serving with the US army in Vietnam. He often says I saved his life that night. We've been corresponding and e-mailing for years and I occasionally phone him as it costs $1.00 for me to ring him. I get on well with his wife and hopefully if he manages to sell part of his land, he will visit us next year. His wife was diagnosed with MS last year so unfortunately she won't be able to visit.
I have quite a few cyber friends that I have never met.
Several years ago I went overseas and met a lot of them at a collectors convention in the U.S.. Some of these I had been in touch with for years but I guess if I have met them, they are no longer "cyber" friends but real friends.
