I do indeed!
The majority of my garden is succulents and/oir cacti.
I have about 35 different ones and love them -they produce the most beautiful flowers sometimes even though they do not last long, and I am addicted to collecting new ones even though I have no more room.
Am even on a succulent group on the Internet!
LOVE THEM
Wow!! I didn't even think about an internet succulent group!!! What a wonderful idea! I joined the Hibiscus Society some years ago and found it so much fun and very interesting,as I also found the Herb Group here. The Orchid and Bromeliad club is another great group, yet I had never thought to find out about one for succulents and cacti!! Silly me!
Jules
it is a great group and recently a huge cactus of mine fell down, and a member who i had never "spoken" to before, drove miles to come and fix it for me! BUT you need to be on facebook -you would love it i think, discussions, photos etc, for sale etc etc
Yes, I have a couple. I have a pig face growing in the front yard and another one I've forgotten the name of that has little hot pink flowers that look like daises. One of these days i'll get around to setting up a little succulent garden in a pot again. I like all the different shapes they come in.
Whoever Debbi is . . we should be friends . . .
I haven't yet met Debbi!! But my neighbour across the road surely has!!! EVERY single plant I have given to her, survives no more than a week or two!!! Poor Debbi..... I would cry if I could not get my plants to survive!
No.
Not my cup-of-Tea.
My grandmother had them, and well that's where I will leave it.
I know they are lovely, but just never got into them.
Yes, I have one in my room (since I live in an apartment and don't have a garden). They are the best since they only need watering about once a week (less if its winter)
I have mini bonsai succulents for the
table..however, I just spray once a week and hope for
the best..
I have some in pots. I have some pigface in a clump in the garden. It is very easy to grow.
last year the frost destroyed my succulents so will cover them this year
Yes! I have all manner of plants in my garden, and succulents are among these! I have never taken any care whatsoever of them,as they tend to look after themselves and when a tiny leaflet drops from the main plant,it simply grows roots and becomes a new baby for me to enjoy! They come in all shapes, sizes and colours,so they are never boring at all,I can grow them outside in the garden, inside in a pot, anywhere really....the secret is that they do not want much water,or they tend to rot. I also have just a few tiny flowering cactus in old broken chinese teapots and suchlike! These look super and add such a lot of brilliant colour to a garden, again with little or no care at all! So much fun for so little work!!

Our front garden is full of them and I don't like them. We also have natives, roses, kangaroo paw, daises and irises and I'd rather the succulents were pulled out and replaced with nicer looking flowers.
No, I can't bear them in my garden. They remind me of desert flowers and also remind me of how hot this summer has been. In fact I don't just dislike them, I loathe them.
My son looked after our mini-cactus garden.
They thrived so well, we had to keep cutting them to shorter height, else they'd grow through the steps!
We have aloe vera. I had a cactus once, but it was rooted out for fear of the cat getting injured.
Yes, I have a few in my garden, in pots, with a LOT of aloe vera, that I took from our family garden, before the house was filled down by the new owners. And we have a lot of other ones as well. I don't know where the rest came from, because we haven't bought any of them, friends haven't given me bits of theirs & I haven't stollen any from other peoples gardens!!! Our 2 'newest' ones, of the same plant, in 2 matching pots, came from my brother-in-laws, after he past away recently. (The house is going up for sale soon, to be pulled down for apartments, so they didn't need to stay there for decoration!)
