I do and have had for the last I don't know how many houses as I have built most of them.
Nowadays I do not think they build in Perth without an en suite, and I could not be without it as keep my eyes shut when I go to the bathroom at night so I dont wake up properly.
That way I can get back to sleep straight away and if I had to walk a ways, I would have to turn on lights and not take just 4 or 5 steps to the en suite door.
Yep, a big fat high five to that, Finy :-)
I have a lovely big ensuite which I built around an extra-long bath so I can actually lie in it and soak my arthritic spine! This also meant that the entire main bedroom extension was basically built to fit my bath!!!! I am so used to this extra bathroom, though it does seem over the top now that I live alone!
We don't. If I'm awake in the night then I find that walking to the loo and back to bad again helps reset my brain so I can go back to sleep. If the loo was too close to my bed then this wouldn't work!
I would like an ensuite for my spare room though, as my parents are really elderly now and it would be much easier for them to have a bathroom to themselves and just off the spare room. In our old house in Germany, there was a separate bathroom for guests which was good. I miss that!
I wish I did! Maybe when we upsize.
We do. But I hate using it when my partner is in bed as I'm worried that I'll wake him so I often use the other toilet if I need to go after he is in bed. I like being able to go straight from the shower to me bedroom though.
No I don't as live in a twobedroom villa..the bathroom is close to my room

No our home is small enough to have the bathroom very close by.
No ensuite, but our bedroom has direct access to the only bathroom and toilet in the house.
I do but I have a few rules about using the ensuite, and those rules drive my husband crazy. I hate changing all the bed linen, throwing the bedroom window open for the fresh breeze, scrubbing the ensuite and then......someone using the ensuite toilet for more than a tinkle. That drives me crazy....so much so that I tell my husband that I would like the toilet in the ensuite ripped out. Also, we walk "through" a walkin robe to get to the ensuite and I hate the idea of the "toilet odour" wafting into my wardrobe. Obviously, I have a problem with "some" of the ensuite situation.
No we don't, but we have two bathrooms, which both have a toilet, bath, shower and basin in it.
Yes. Kids use the main toilet, and we use the ensuite. Just makes it a bit easier when wandering around with limited clothing !
There is no ensuite in this house. I have never had one so am used to it.
No, but those facilities' are close enough to my bedroom.
Yes and it's all mine . . . nobody comes into my room or my ensuite. Verboten. The other half uses the main bathroom and the separate toilet. It's a little more cleaning, but so worth it.
Yes, I have 1 all to my self! My husband's bathroom w/ seperate toilet is opposite his room, so we're both happy. I just love walking from the en-suite, straight to my bed also! I have a friend, I was visiting, & i was sitting on her bed talking to her, & noticed her en-suite was FULL of 'spare' cloths! I don't think it had ever been used for what it was built for!
