Do you have a lot of snails in your garden at the moment?

Yes, I do and hence I asked the question?

I wouldnt mind the big snails as per the picture, however I have hundreds of these tiny different shaped ones and they eat all my vegetables and herbs.

Each morning I go out and pick them off but each morning there are always more!

I hate what they do to the lovely vegetables I am trying to grow.

In Melbourne we would get literally THOUSANDS of snails,but here in North Queensland I have never seen a single one in 35 years!! But we do get grasshoppers which do the same damage!

Oh yes indeed and way to many. The little blighters eat my bulbs as they emerge from the ground. The flowers never get a cjhance.

I have to be very honest and say I have not seen a snail in maybe 2 yrs!!!

Which makes me wonder why?

Can't be normal, to not see them.

No. No sails at the moment.

We have a garden, but we hardly have any snails.
When I see them in a friends garden, I take them off her plants for her, & squash them underfoot.
My friend can’t make her self do that. Next time I find them at home, I’ll put them in a jar & take them down to river & throw them in, for the fish to eat.

We found some really large ones, at the 2 places we stayed at in Bali a couple of weeks ago. I moved them off the footpath & put them into the garden. When my husband mentioned the snails to the owner of 1 of the places we were staying at, he said they eat them!

PS: If you don't like squashing them underfoot, put some sea/table salt into a tin your going to be recycling, & put the snails into the tin. Hey Presto, they'll be dead in seconds! Then tip into a plastic bag from a bread loaf & place in the garbage bin!
