Since I am moving soon I'm a headspace where I am less attached to particular pieces of clothing, so I can't say I'd necessarily hang on to anything forever. I still have my wedding dress, though I don't know if I'll ever wear it again (I could, since it isn't white). I don't think I'll keep it forever, but I'm not ready to get rid of it just yet.
I have a long grey fleece that almost reaches my knees and keeps me nice and warm. I bought it for a fiver at the charity shop and the only day I don't wear it is when I reluctantly put it in the wash.
Not anymore. I had a brown suede skirt suit I had bought from Charlie Brown before the label became big. I wore that jacket and wore it and wore it to death. 17 years later, I finally parted with it after taking a really good look at it and realising that it had a hole at the cuff. It was well worn and well loved but finally HAD to go.
I have a long wrap dress which I bought many years ago. The material is so soft that I can bear to part with it, so now I wear it to bed in winter,
I have a 17 year old velvet cardigan, in deep purple.

I can throw into the washer, and it come's out looking great!
It give's me comfort, when I am cold..and feeling tired.
Yep, it's a keeper.
My dresses, and my shoes. I have so much that is so great I just won't throw out - yet I wear them regularly.
A beautiful handwoven shawl which we bought in a market in Tibet many years ago - does that count as clothing?
