I no longer buy ice cream since my blood sugar levels were too high.
I still have some in my fridge as feel safer that way!
I tried some recently and did not really like it as am not so addicted to sweets any more.
I usually buy by flavour (macadamia and mango) but I rarely buy any of the Home Brands as prefer to support other people and think most home brand foods are inferior.
I had several favourites, on of which was Weis.
Haha. IGA black and gold is made by Weis. I learned this through a friend who had a restaurant.
be that as it may, I still would not buy it as I do not believe it is made to the same specs. as the more expensive brands.
I don't really like ice cream at all !!! However, we do keep some vanilla in the freezer in case my husband or guests would like some after dinner.
Like Lluxi, ice cream is not high on my list of likes. I hate cold things. As for brands, it would be Streets for quality; not vanilla; possibly something with butterscotch and macadamias.
I usually buy by flavour, not brand. Probably the New Zealand boysenberry would be my favourite.
I like rum and raisin ice cream. I have no brands that I am loyal to.
Yum. It is very hard to get a good rum and raisin in Australia :( Lucky you, to be living in the heart of rum and raisin country :-))
When I use to buy it then flavours were number 1.
I can no longer have it, so life is pretty much plain. :(
I love Ben and Jerry's ice cream. My favorite is the coffee flavoured one.
really AJ! I didnt find them any better than cheaper ice creams
Ice cream, can't resist.
Hoof Prints or Chocolate.
I usually go by flavours, I enjoy, lime, mango, gelati, coffee flavours.
I like Gelati and Sorbet rather than actual Ice cream.I go for Weis sorbet in several flavours.Their Blood Orange and Lime last summer was just delicious!!! I also love the Gelativo Passionfruit sorbet! Tangy and refreshing, when cold dessert is called for!!
hen I DO feel like dairy ice cream,I go for Connoisseur Derwent River Raspberry and White Chocolate,as the Raspberry coulis in it is lovely against the real white chocolate flakes throughout the the main body. Not all places stock this flavour so it is something rather special when I do get some. I still prefer fruity sorbet though, any time!!!
I needed to go for a small size, so tried 'Sarah Lee' 1ltr 'Chocolate', nice, but just too 'strong' for my taste!
I now buy their 'Creamy Strawberry', which I love!
Bought their 'Vanilla' to have with sponge cake slice, & caramel topping.....very enjoyable!
I only buy Breyer's ice cream. They are the only brand that I can actually read the ingredients.
Darned good reason too! Sometimes I feel that I should have my magnifier in my pocket when I go shopping. Of course, they probably make it difficult to read on purpose.
Zilch Chocolate ice cream has 'no added sugar, reduced fat and free of gluten'. It still tastes great. Not cheap.
I love Streets ice-cream, but I'll buy any brand of Tiramisu ice-cream, if there is 1. We always buy the packets of ice-creams on sticks, from Aldi, & so we don't eat it overnight, we just have 1 each on a family members birthday, or if I really like the numbers in the date for that day! Yes, I know I'm weird!
PS: I'd also buy anything that was salted caramel!
PPS: 'overnight' should have been written, 'every night'!
