Climbing the Harbour Bridge is just one of the great tourist attractions in Sydney.
Have you ever climbed the Sydney Harbour Bridge?
Do you have any desire to do this?
Why or why not?

My husband and I climbed the Harbour Bridge for a 1 year anniversary of dating and it was great! If you want to do it, I would definitely recommend the 'twilight' time slot - because you climb the bridge in the daylight and coming back down the other side, you get to see the city lit up as day turns to night!
ah, you were clever to do it while young -I probably wouldn't make it to the top anymore as too many steps. I am originally from Sydney but I don't remember being able to do this one some 40 years ago
I have not ever done it, but really would love too.
May take some time to get me up there, but hey! what the heck, I would do it!
I love the pictures on your answers :)
Bless your heart....thanks :)
I like the idea of it, but have a fear of heights. I know they say facing your fears conquers them, but I'm just too big of a wimp at the moment. Maybe one day...
Did the BridgeClimb once on my birthday about 7 years ago. Loved it :)
I have not climbed the Sydney Bridge but I have climbed the Auckland Bridge. It was amazing! So might do this when I have a holiday! LOL
I've never done it. I live in Sydney, it's one of those things that is always there for me to do that I haven't done yet. The view would be spectacular.
I am yet to visit Sydney and I would love to climb the bridge
I have never been to sydney. I would love to do that.
I have no desire to climb the Sydney Harbour Bridge. I am petrified of heights and, besides, I have always been happiest with my feet firmly planted on the ground.
Yes, the adrenaline rush in me is never-ending and always makes me yearn for adventure! I'm hoping to do it before I leave AU :)
Xarah -where is your home?
Ooo tough question, Finy! :) I was born and raised in Saudi Arabia, then moved to India for 2 years to complete high school, and have been here in Australia for 4 years now! I don't know where I'll end up next, but I know it'll get added to my list of hometowns!
Not really, because I'm scared of heights, but then I have these moments when I think I should do it anyway, because it's right there and I may miss out on a great experience...
With my Austrian friends we very much wanted to climb the bridge but we got lit. scared seeing the price of the ticket. Who in their right mind would like to spend that much on a ticket.

Yes I climbed it on my 66th birthday last year, not that difficult or strenuous. I also recommend the twilight tour. A tad expensive but I thoroughly enjoyed it
Wow, you are similar vintage to me and I thought I would never make it up those steps!
I have no desire to climb the Sydney Bridge or any other. I am terrified of heights!
I've climbed all three bridge climbs, Brisbane's storey bridge, Auckland and Sydney. Sydney is the best by far. It's not that strenuous, there is a lot of stopping for photos etc. and you feel safe because you're hooked to a cable all the way. Highly recommend it, especially at twilight.
Ah....'Brisbane's Story Bridge'.....no 'e' in its' spelling! But good on you for climbing it! Lol!
Although I've seen groups climbing on the bridge when I've visited Sydney, I've never tried it myself. From what I've heard, it's outrageously expensive, though, so I don't think I'd be able to afford it. I think I might also find it a bit scary. So, no, I probably won't.
I have not done it.But I think about $150 is a total rip off for the experience.
I am on a mission to climb it when me an my girlfriend are there next month love the idea of the twilight slot. Must be beautiful
Not on my to do list until I have climbed the one in my home town. Often we overlook the tourist attractions in our home towns and yet get quite excited about similar activities on "foreign soil".
No desire to. I don't really see a point to it.
I have climbed the Sydney Harbour Bridge during the day and it was great. Would love to go at night.
No, I haven't, & very doubtful I would! Being 'cable-attached' about 1000' from the Harbour's water surface, would give me the 'heebie-jeebies'! I'd be one of those people who 'freeze' & can't move! Useless to myself & all others there!
Even though I live in Sydney, NSW, I’ve never climbed the SHB. I’m also terrified of heights! And the thought of spending all that money on a climb, when I could spend it on another Swatch watch, or some yummy dark chocolate!
