Do you have a bonsai?

They seem like a lot of work to look after so I don't think I'd grow one personally, but I like the look of them. I've seen some pretty amazing ones at the Mt Coot-Tha Botanic Gardens. My favourite was a teeny tiny Moreton Bay Fig, with all its itty bitty buttress roots.

I used to, until I trimmed it too much. I was trying to make sure it stayed bonsai-sized and went too far! Story of my life...

I don't have a bonsai, but I have always admired their beauty and intricacy. I prefer cacti because they're easy to look after and hard to kill - certainly my kind of plant.

I do think they look lovely but they also make me rather sad. I am in the business of personal growth and development and it seems a real shame to me that this beautiful plant has been stifled to the point it can't grow as nature intended.

I used to have one, and my youngest son had one that I really liked but he took it with him when he moved. I think they are adorable and I would love to have one again.

I love bonsai and have always wanted one however they are so expensive and I am always worried they will die, so I tend to stick to my succulents and cacti which rarely die and are relatively easy to keep.

I think bonsai would be more difficult or temperamental, and yes, I have once given one as a gift to a friend.

There is a lovely shop selling many bonsai just near me, and now I feel tempted again!
