I absolutely HATE doing this and thought I was the only one who felt this way.
However today, while talking to a friend, she said she is the same -she will not go back unless it is absolutely necessary.
I rarely go back -the one exception lately was going to a specialist and I left the referral at home -I knew they would not see me without this, so had to turn round and go back to get it -very upsetting!
It depends. If I've just left the street, then it's no biggie. But, if I've left the suburb, I burn!
I would continue on my way, unless it was something of vital importance like medical reports,or special documents.I do not stress over very many things at all,so i can manage without most items if I have forgotten them.
Can't believe this...I did it today...went back for the road directory...no GPS in my car...yes hate it..
I hate it! We had to do this recently when we headed off for a weekend away and forgot the tickets to the football we were going to see! Luckily we were only one suburb away when I asked my partner if he had them.
50/50.
If it is my mobile phone, or paperwork then I do turn back.
If it is something that I really will be ok this one time, I keep going.
Of late we now do a check in the car.
'Got ya phone'...yep!
'Got ya wallet'.....yep!
'Got ya keys'.......yep!
Yes, Jonaj, hubby used to do a check.....watch, glasses, keys, wallet, handkerchief, phone!
I pack my handbag night before, so I KNOW all's there, grab keys & go!
Absolutely!!! Especially if I'm a good distance away from home. That's the worst thing for me especially if I'm late. It makes me feel like I've wasted so much time.
Depends how much I need it. I'll go back if I haven't gone too far and really need it, otherwise I'll figure out how to do without it for the day.
It depends - I'll only go back if absolutely necessary
We are usually pretty organised and don't do this - with one exception. We stopped at my brother's place at Grafton on our way to Sydney for an overseas trip. My husband had to drive back to Brisbane - he had forgotten our passports!
Hello jillr....
You'd be amazed at the number of persons' who try to check-in at International Airport sans Passport!
Worse still, if they've come from interstate!
My view is, if I have forgotten it, it wasn't THAT important!
Yes, esp' if I’m going for a bus. We only have 1 bus an hr, where we live, so I usually don’t worry about what I may have left behind, because I don’t have time to go back home before the bus arrives!
I hate going home if I've forgotten something it's a real pain.
