Do you find windchimes pretty or annoying?

Hate them! Grossly annoying to the nth degree.

I have a couple of wind chimes but I keep them in trees where they are low key.

If it is a particularly windy day or night I take them down so they won't become annoying for the neighbours.

I like them when there is a soft breeze and they are melodic but hate the clang, clang, clang of them in a heavier wind.

Some I do, find annoying.

Others are fine, they don't bang against big objects.
Japanese ones are the best, they have a gentle sound.

I grew up with hearing the ones in my picture, and they were lovely to hear.(1960's)

Pretty when it's not windy, but annoying when there's a storm outside.

They are nice when the sound produced is mild. It gets annoying when they are close to the house and the weather is windy.

My mum got me the lovely wind chimes in the picture for Christmas. The tone is probably a little heavy for me, but they are still lovely. The sit just outside my study and I don't find them annoying or distracting at all.
