Yes, I do - I don't have a problem doing this despite having to alter my spending habits dramatically after separating.
Though I do not really stick to a budget, luckily, any more but find I do not spend anywhere near as much as I used to, possibly because nowadays I enjoy being home!
It's an either-or situation for me as far as budgeting is concern. I do try to improvise. If it's a petty expense, I tell myself it's okay to exceed my budget. However, if it's a really costly project or endeavor - for instance taking up further studies, travels or buying an appliance - I usually stick to my budget and commit to my goal.
It can be hard sticking to a budget. We do have a budget, but we don't always stick to it. We just have to watch our spending. There are always unexpected expenses that pop up to throw a spanner in the works. However, as xTinx said, if it is a big or expensive goal like travel, we are very committed to putting money aside for that.
I dont have a budget.. I am not a huge spender in any case
It depends. Normally I'd say that I'm good at budgeting. However, my bills from Black Friday and the Christmas sales seem to prove that I need to alter my spending habits to stick to my budget.
I don't have a budget. I don't buy anything other than my cotton dresses, food, other Aldi stuff & presents for our grand-daughters.
Yes, I try not to overspend, stick fairly close to a budget because thats all one gets being on a pension. Thankfully now retired don't "need" as much as when working - amazing what one gets by on with the things we already have, and I try to eat what is in the fridge and freezer....
I don't have a budget and often exceed what I'd like to spend.
