Do you find it easier to buy a present for a woman than for a man?

I have always had more of a problem buying something for a male than for a female.

Females seem to use more things than males, and I guess this is sexist, but I would buy something for the kitchen for a female, but not for the husband!

I just always had a problem when I had a partner, and even a problem with my son, though now that the children are grown up, it is a problem for both.

Yes definitely easier for a woman....I think the trick for BOTH sexes is to think about them and their orientation and interests and likes...for people with everything I think consumables and plants are a great idea.

I always like to make my own gifts so I actually find both males and females about the same,as long as I know the person well. This is the trick,I believe.... knowing who you are giving the gift to !!

For me, it's nothing to do with gender but all to do with personality and circumstances. Some people are hard to buy presents for, both male and female, and some are delightfully easy. Those who are hard tend to get vouchers.....

It depends on the person although I think there is a greater range of gifts for women and this in itself makes it easier.

We only have 2 men to buy for, & they only want red wine or port so that's easy. My daughter is always asking me what would her father like, so I say shorts or else I can't think of anything else! Last year she bought him a CHOICE subscription, (his idea, not hers,) which he finds very useful, because he doesn't have to go to the library now to look up old choice magazines, for something he's trying to buy, as he can look it up line, now that he's a member.
