Do you ever wear a hat?

I wear a hat in the sun to protect my face sometimes but I'm not a hat person. I wore a giant fascinator to a wedding last year and that was fun as I'd not worn one like that before.
I also wear hats in the Winter.
Maybe I'm a hat person, I hadn't really thought about it!

I sometimes wear Cancer Council or other sun hats, however have not worn a fancy hat for many years.

I do have a leather cap which I have worn once this year and got a lot of comments on, however, hats are something i do not wear generally as do not go anywhere where a hat is needed.

I know I should...but never out long enough now to wear one :(

I wear a cap when walking in winter, a sunhat in Summer when walking....in Winter I sometimes wear a beret and another helmet type hat I have but not often these days...

Every day when I go out. It's mad not to in Queensland, the skin cancer capital of the world. It's a practicality thing, not a style thing, though I do like mine. It's a fedora.

Hats are essential up in the tropics!!! This is far and beyond being a Fashion Statement!! I do have a couple of rather nice ones though which cross the barrier between necessity and fashion!

I think there are people who can wear hats and look good in them and others who are not hat people. I am not a hat person as they never seem to look right on my head. Of course I wear caps and sun hats in summer but have never been able to wear a fancy hat.

I do wear hats - I wear baseball caps sometimes in the summer and I wear warm hats in winter. I have never worn a fancy hat to a wedding or any other event

Yes I do as I belong to the Red Hat Society and we wear purple clothes lots of bling and of course Red Hats I have big small beret fascinators you name it.I have been a Red Hatter for 9 yrs it's all about ladies 50 and over having fun and growing old disgracefully

Didnt get round to it -what sort of things do you do?

We have done trips together one Kuala Lumpha 13 of us and had a shop to you drop came back with 90 shoes !!!!Also go out to lunch go to weekend camps have picnics play putt putt anything anyone suggests and and a group wants to go to,my 2 best friends I met at red hats fun ladies and genuine it's so great if your on your own Fazee

I've never liked wearing hats as my head gets way too hot, but when I was working in schools I had no choice. If we were going to enforce the 'no hat, no play' policy then we also had to wear one. I got used to it and now wear one when I have to in the sun.

No, I'm not a 'hat' person! I look quite stupid in one actually.
I wear an Akubra in the sun, from hanging out washing to bushwalking to horse riding, & have done so all my life.
Have one floppy white hat to wear in sun, from car to shops & back again. Always have 'sunnies' on.
Wear various coloured berets in Winter, to match outfits.
Used to have various headwear whilst in Army.

You all know The Cat in The Hat . . . . well, I look like a prat in a hat. I mow in a floppy thing and I have a couple beautiful Akubras . . .but I look like a dweeb, I really do.

Have just ordered an RM fawn 'Fedora', based on his own 'Cattleman' hat, as I wear much beige/camel.
Have now, since MY original answer, a collection of beautiful 'Fedora's': white, coffee/brown, grey. Some straw, some wool felt.
The style suits me extremely well. At LONG last I've found a hat-type with which I'm very pleased, & makes ME look a tad less of a dork!

P.S. We should go for a ride, & we can then wear our 'Akubra's quite happily! Cheers, Rice!

I used to wear hats to weddings in my younger days, but not so as much now, I think the late princess Diana definetely did do something to make the more popular, most of the ones she wore suited her.

I only wear sun hats I'm afraid, & unfortunately that's usually when I'm going to the beach (every 3/4 years, once!) or I'll take 1 on a cruise with me. Our little granddaughters MUST wear a sun hat every time they leave the house. They'll throw them off their heads in the park sometimes, but do wear them on the way home again!
