Do you ever still play Monopoly?

I played yesterday with my granddaughter.

It was Junior Monopoly which I didnt even know existed.

I remember when this was one of the few games you could buy, and it was so popular. We all used to play it all the time when I was a child.

Monopoly is one game that I never EVER won!!!
However.....I have always been excellent at Maths so I was always very happy to be the Banker instead of an actual player of this game!!! My son has a marvellous collection of the various Monopoly games which have been created over the years.,including the original,the Australian and even Star Wars!!!!

About 35 years back I used to play Monopoly often and I enjoyed it. The last time I played was the Simpsons' Monopoly version and that was years ago. Now I find Monopoly boring. It seems to take so long. I am not keen on any board games now.

The kids and I will play Monopoly on rainy days, but we don't play to the rules exactly. We usually dish out more money from the bank as this can make it go quicker some times.

Way, way back in 1959, my mother was given (by my 2 cousins, who were al lot older than myself) their Monopoly board game. It came in a lovely gold coloured box. Being a young age back then, I was told I could have it, I didn’t come last in my yearly exams. I came 2nd last & I was given this beautiful game in the gold coloured box. (The boy who lived next door to the school came last, & became a butcher after leaving high school) I still have the game, but the box is a little bashed around now unfortunately.
