Many years back I went to a restaurant which served a delicious watermelon salad as an entree item! It was so lovely and had the saltiness of Prosciutto as well combined in with the watermelon and other ingredients! I have done similar a few times,but not overly often. It is all a matter of thinking outside the square,really!!
Unfortunately I'm the only one in the family who won't eat it. I find it too sweet for me but over the years I've carved melon baskets for get-togethers with family and friends so my family haven't suffered. I often buy whole melons for family but as usual, I pass on eating them.
