Do you ever eat bagels and do you like them?

I like bagels when I am out however have sometimes bought them and found them to be rather dry.

Yet this is not the case when eating them out, for some reason.
I have several favourite toppings and one is diced browned bacon with spring onions and cream cheese and the other is the more usual of smoked salmon.

I don't really like them, I have had them....and would only ever eat them if there was nothing else to eat.
They are just not me, they are a dense food.
I like very light bread kind of foods.Plus they can be dry and that makes me drink a lot.

No, I don't like them. I'd rather just have a bread roll for savoury things. Bagels are pretty high in fat, and if I'm going to eat something that high in fat I'd rather it was cake or a doughnut.

I LOVE genuine bagels! Many people do not realise that they are not simply a donut-shaped bread roll.The dough is shaped and boiled before baking,which is waht makes them so luscious!!!
The best ones I ever had were those collected at 4 am from the bakery in England when we were visiting my Aunt and family.They were straight from the oven and just to die for!! Those I enjoyed with just Butter and the most fruity English Strawberry jam I have ever tasted!!My Aunt had made it just for our visit!!
Otherwise as a lunch,I love bagels with smoked salmon and avocado.Mmmmmm.....

I like the taste of bagels but find the hole in the middle frustrating when adding toppings, so don't eat them very often! I didn't know they were boiled, how interesting.

I love bagels. Eat them for breakfast, brunch and lunch.
My favourite is to have it toasted with butter or toasted with cream cheese.

Yes I like them. If you place a whole slice of ham across the base (or any cold meat or smoked salmon) then add your toppings, then you really don't have to worry about the hole in the middle. I prefer the genuine German pretzel though.

Yes I like them, but I d only eat 1/2 of 1 at a time, on cruise ships, with smoked salmon, red onion, capers, sliced tomato & cream cheese, & a lot of black pepper! But now I only like the salmon, cream cheese, capers & pepper on it's own, with a squeeze of lemon.

Well, just last week I had a bagel, a REAL one, a Reuben Bagel, delicious! Cant wait to have another! used to think they were sweet or doughy but this place in Little Collins street melbourne was none of that! I haven't tried any other filling but this reuben one is my flavour for awhile! YUM!
