Do you ever drive with your dog sitting on your lap?

We passed this car travelling on the very busy Pacific Highway last weekend. Cute little pup but I worry about what would happen to these little fur babies if their owner's car was involved in an accident.

I'm sure there is a law against having an animal sitting on your lap whilst driving, yet we've probably all done it at some time.

I don't have a dog. But if I did it wouldn't be small enough to hold in my lap.

You know, that has to be one of the most Stupid things any driver can do.
If I had a dog, it would be strapped correctly in the back of the car.
I wish someone would stop it, and quickly.

My pic shows 'how' a dog should be in any car....too cute! and very safe.

I don't drive but that sounds really dangerous, not just for the dog but for anyone on the road if the driver gets distracted by the dog moving around in their field of vision. I bet it is illegal.

I don't have a dog - but I suspect that I might let it drive. And if someone else videoed it I'm sure it would go viral.

I'm pretty sure it's against the law. Anyway a person would have to be pretty stupid to do so. What if the dog suddenly jumps or startles the driver? They sell dog car harnesses for a reason!

It's too risky, people should know better.
