Yes I do this sometimes.
I read that we should all do about 10,000 and I like to get to that.
It is not an easy task however, as I do about a km walk every morning and that is only about 2500 steps.
I find it quite interesting to see how many steps I do in a day even though unless I am working, I generally do not get anywhere near the 10,000 steps recommended.
I have never done this in my life!!! I used to walk to work, was on my feet all day except for my breaks and then walk home again,so I think I was getting my quota of steps in each day!!! I am not able to walk without my cane when I am away from the house, unless I am using a trolley at the supermarket(and then I zoom along like an Olympic sprinter!! Hee Hee!!!) so I know that I am not getting a high number of steps any time at all now! I am not even interested in knowing the number!!!
Lord, now I have an image . . . jules being swept along behind a trolley with knees in the air like a Tennessee Walking Horse. Heehee.
Oh Puleeeeeeease!!!!!! Stop making me laugh so much! My stomach really hurts now, thank you NOT!!!
Maybe we should get fitbits for our dogs . . . !
You might be on to something there, there's heaps of people out their who would spend their money on them!! You might get RICH!!!!!!
Oooh, such pin money! Such jewels!
Yes. I used to wear one when I was working, and I did probably double what the recommended amount per day is. Now that I am not working, I need to find more opportunities to take more steps to increase my daily rate.
I used to when I was working. One particularly busy day I did more than 17,000! But slept well that night tho :). Must remember to replace the battery in the pedometer one day, lol.
