I've bought clothes off Ebay from reputable sellers with no problem. Sold a few items too. I like Ebay, but have switched to Gumtree in recent times as I like the instant gratification of being able to buy locally.
I used to buy almost every day when I was a collector and I also sold very successfully on Ebay for years.
Now that I am older (yes i am getting boring saying that all the time!) I no longer collect as my kids might put it all in a skip bin when I die, and so I dont often buy any more on Ebay.
I still buy some dog products but to sell I generally use someone else now.
Yes,I buy all the time, and all types of things from Collectable treasures to a new keyboard for my laptop! I think though, that the truly exciting bonus of meeting like-minded people (when I buy collectables) who have become genuine and wonderful friends is the nicest part of my personal experience when buying!
I don't. But I feel like I should!
Yes, especially stuff for my iphone and iPad - so cheap and quick delivery.
I regularly buy on ebay. Usually I don't have any problems at all. Very occasionally someone might take a while to dispatch n item, but that is about it.
The only time when I remember having a particular issue was when I bought a collection of pokemon cards. The seller description said 'my southern island collection', which I took to mean the complete collection, but it wasn't. There was a card missing. When I brought it up with them, they said that it didn't say 'complete' on the page, and there was a picture showing the cards. I didn't pursue it further, buy my argument against would have beeb, the description didn't say 'incomplete', and they didn't say how many cards were in the complete collection, so I couldn't tell from the picture.
All the time. Recently I broke one of my glass cooking pots and they only come in sets but I was able to buy just one on eBay.
I have never bought or sold anything on ebay
I recently purchased a new charger for my macbook. The experience was good, it was cheap, delivered quickly, works well.
Only when I'm really looking for something desperately and need it quick/cheap. I don't tend to, because I'm a bit too cautious when buying online, but it's a good source to go to if you're after something pretty specific and affordable :-)
I've bought some books, tv-related items, clothes at 50% discount off its RRP and camping gear from Ebay
Yes I do buy things from ebay. Its a nice website.
Yes. Mainly I buy music CD's and movie DVD's. I've been buying from Ebay for 8 years or so and, only once, did I ever get ripped off. The item I had paid for never arrived. The seller was barred from being a member soon after. What I do now, before purchasing, is to check the number of transactions the seller has previously been involved with and their feedback percentage.
The first and last time I used EBay was to purchase a six burner gas BBQ for my partner's 60th birthday. After about 3 weeks of trying, I finally got the knack of how fast you should make your final offer and presto, I managed to snap one up. He loved it and so I'm happy with the purchase.
fifi -I used to use a programme that did the bidding in the last few seconds for me -my computer is now faster and I can do it myself in the last few seconds, however the programmes are really helpful particularly if buying from US when we are asleep.
Now that's a worry, sleep-shopping !! Haven't heard that one...
All the time, it's one of the first places I go to when I'm looking for something specific
Not as yet, but I one day hope to.
Not really, I rather Amazon
I buy odds and ends online as sometimes what I am looking for I cannot find locally or locally at a good price.
I have never bought any items from Ebay, but my husband has bought heaps of items. He has only had trouble once when he ordered 2 books, with our granddaughters names mentioned in the stories. The books never arrived, & he was given a refund, but I would rather have had the books for our little girls!
