I buy these all the time as they are such wonderful bargains.
I go out for lunch generally once a week and sometimes we go to fabulous restaurants for about $20 for two courses.
They usually work out at half or even slightly less than half price, and we have enjoyed most of them.
I am very fussy which ones I pick and check out their websites etc before I buy them.
A great way to get to try different cafes/restaurants!
no, definitely not - I dont get anything from these sites and there are about 3 of them - they are huge and have all sorts of specials and not just meals - all at half price - I have bought massages etc and many things - dog beds etc....it is not a scam and they do not use my address....perfectly trustworthy if you stick to the three big, older ones
Just Google, 'Groupon' Rice, & see what else comes up, then you can see others ones near or in your local area. You certainly aren't made to buy anything you don't want! No ones trying to rip you off. I think you can also read peoples reviews about them, & the meals they tried at various places. Please let us know how you go on, if you try it out. That's if you can find this question again! Or you could put this AA into a 'file' & come back to it later! Some of the deals you don't have to use for 3-6 months, so just don't forgot about them! They're also handy to use for a special occasion.
Didn't know that there was such a thing. It sounds like a great idea, for the restaurants to get more custom, and if the food is good, return custom. If these coupons are mainly in the CBD or suburban areas, I'm afraid it wouldn't be any use to us, as we live too far away. We only venture into these areas occasionally, so wouldn't be worth it for us.
Yes, when my husband was looking for them, a few years ago, we went to a lot them. Breakfast at a lovely French cafe at the Rocks, & great lunch 1 with a bucket of prawns & a glass on cold wine at Darling Harbour. where we went to twice. The 2nd time with friends. I can't remember where the rest of them were now. My husband's gone off looking for them as he's busy looking for a new car instead, so I may have to take up the challenge! They were all very easy to buy, but when I did have another look at them a couple of months ago, the deals weren't as good as they used be I felt. It was was fun at the time, & it got my husband out of the house for a change, & eating somewhere, where he would haver have thought to have gone too.
I'm with Finy here. Have bought quite a few good deals and the meals have been great. With one that I use I also got a great deal for a weekend away with full buffet breakfast in Canberra which worked out to be so much cheaper than booking a motel and paying extra for food. I don't buy the Entertainment Book any more as a lot of the offers don't suit us living on the pension.
Yes, it is a great deal, a few web sites offer many places to try out, A good friend of mine has more time to search and we go to lots of new interesting places, Nearly all I would go back to. We mainly do lunches and often an glass of wine is included, One of the best was the Marriott hotel seafood lunch! I also have the entertainment book yay
