I like sundried tomatoes and use them both in cooking and also sometimes if I have some left over, will put them on a sandwich with other things for lunch.
I always keep a pack of them in the pantry but these are the sort without oil, and not quite as nice as the ones you buy loose at the supermarkets.
YES....Yes....yes........love em :)
Yes, I eat them with pasta or couscous.
Occasionally I throw some into a pasta sauce or a salad, but I don't have them all the time. I find the ones out of a jar terribly salty.
Yes. I enjoy sun-dried tomatoes a lot! In salads, pastas, sandwiches, eggs...yum!
I've had them several years ago. The tomato flavor is very intense. It's like concentrated tomato.
Yes I buy them for an anti pasto platter when we have guests and any leftover are cooked in pasta sauce or really, anything savoury I'm cooking. Sometimes I enjoy them for a snack. I often have a jar of the dried tomatos in oil in my fridge. I use the oil for cooking or in a salad dressing.
Yes I do like sundried tomatoes to snack on,but not too many of them, and yes I do like them in cooking as well especially in pizza, ans with cheese on a platter and sauces.
I adore them but I don't have them regurlarly.
I have always loved these, but unfortunately, Tomatoes, whether fresh, dried or otherwise, and I are not the very best of friends,as they are extremely high in Salicylates, and I have an allergy to this component of many foods. I am supposed to peel all my fruits and vegetables as this is where the natural preservatives(i.e. salicylates) are found. The riper the food, the higher the amount which is to be found. I went on a total elimination diet in my 20's when I was first tested and found to have this problem, then very very gradually,I started to add tiny amounts of the least dangerous foods which affected me adversely. I now can tolerate small amounts of many of them just once or twice a week. Sun dried tomatoes are so moreish though,so I do not keep a stick of them in my home!!!
I use them on my pizzas but they are too expensive to have all the time
no I do not like them and do not use
Hate, hate, hate them!
So, never eat!
Yucky, to me!
We don't eat it often, but i have 2 jars of dried tomatoes in the fridge. I'll have to go & look up some recipes for them! They are nice in pasta meals & some salads. I'll now try some in a sandwich! How about in scrambled eggs???
Sometimes, but many of the ones in the supermarket are SO oily.
Finy, I have to thank you. Your question led me to look for a new recipe containing sun-dried tomatoes. Found one that was quick and delicious - garlic and chilli prawns with sun-dried tomatoes.
Yes,I use them in Lasagna, or meat loafs. They are also useful when making up tasty platters.
