Films and tv programmes often show people diving into a tub of icecream or polishing off large amounts of cake and pie when they are upset or feeling low.

Do you eat comfort food and if so, what is the best in your opinion?

Happy comfort food, sad comfort food, angry comfort food. I just can't say no to ice cream, chocolate or hot chips!
I find that when I'm sad or upset, I find it hard to resist junk food, particularly the kinds that make me ill (I have a lot of food intolerances) so normally don't get to eat at all. I wrote this question just after polishing off pizza and garlic bread.... I managed to stop before I ate any ice cream though!
Sometimes, but other times I can't eat at all.

Not too many people would say no they don't turn to comfort food.
We have all done it.
Some are hard core and eat way way too much.
For me, if I get upset...I have to have sugar.
I'm learning now it may not be needed on every single time, something big upset's me.
I think a glass of water and a short sleep will do next time.
When depressed I tend to go the other way and lose my appetite.
I eat for comfort at night always -well, perhaps it is actually boredom at the pathetic TV shows that are on.

Anything sweet is the best.

I love ice cream with caramel or chocolate sauce -have bought several things to eat while on the computer and in general just FOOD.

It is not a good habit.

Yes. It's emotional eating and one would usually feel sick and fat afterwards.

Chocolate, ice cream, chips, deep fried snacks or drinks are the common choices.

I think all stress eating are unhealthy and mainly consists of junk food with little or no nutritious values.

Unless your stressing eating involved water, salad and fruits.

I just finished a packet of corn chips - got to deal with the consequences now :(

I'm with Vee on this.
