Oh I forgot instant noodles. Sometimes I buy instant ramen and put them into Miso. Nothing wrong with the noodles themselves, it's the additives in the premade ramen (the kind in a cup) that are bad for you.
I doubt that I have any in the pantry and I have not eaten it for years . . . which is weird because I like it a lot. Better for my diabetes to steer clear, I suppose - it is quite a processed item as dwatk says.
Yep. The kids like spirelli so we use that a lot. Sometimes I make veggie bolognaise or putanesca with spaghetti or linguini. Now and then we have gnocci or macaroni and cheese (well, cashew "cheese") for a change.
I love Pasta. We tend to prefer spaghetti.
I buy prepared Pasta- Angilotti or Ravioli , on special and freeze it . I only need to make a sauce , for an easy and quick meal.
I have some 3 minute noodles on hand for my own lunch. I cut 4 or 5 veges and make a noodle soup. I don't use the flavour sachets that come with them as I think they are too artificial tasting.
I'm not that keen on pasta unless it's the fresh ones with fillings, even then I won't eat a lot of it, but my family love pasta they even order it when we go out to dinner, which I think is a pitty because it's not that they don;t get it at home.
I don't eat much pasta. The occasional beef stroganoff is served with linguini and I use fresh lasagne sheets when I cook this dish. The spaghetti bolonese uses thin pasta as I don't like the thicker type.
I really do enjoy pasta, and have it served in many different ways! My mum, bless her, used to make her own pasta when I was a little girl!! Aaaaah!! her ravioli was such a treat and I will never forget how delicious it was! I have often had the most scrumptious pasta dishes from the local Italian restaurant, and you can immediately taste the difference when you are eating the authentically created stuff!!!! I also have Italian friends who make various pasta dishes which make my mouth water just to think about!!!! Pasta and I have been good friends since my childhood!
