Do you drink water from public water fountains?

I think on the whole they are fine, we don't know what has happened to that fountain, since we got there....but I guess you can always splash water around and clean it down....There is no sure way to know, is there?
I wouldn't really want to use one, unless it was very much needed.

Usually I carry around a water bottle. But if I'm really thirsty and there is a drinking fountain and it doesn't look dirty (but how could you tell for sure), then I will drink from one. It is the exception for me though.

People put their mouths around faucet, & they've what diseases?
The overflow tray, those in public parks, at least, get used as a urinal by both genders, Yuk!

I always carry one bottle of frozen water, & another in car boot, as a spare. That way I know the water's provenance!

IF I need more than those out, I'll buy some bottled water!

Yes - but not all drinking fountains. The one at our sports complex is the one I use when I am very very thirsty!

I only ever use water fountains for my dog. I do not like the taste of tap water in my city. It's so full of chemicals. I carry a flask of filtered water with lemon juice in it when I go out

Definitely NOT - what do you think those fountains are used for on Friday and Saturday nights by roaming youths etc.
I have seen similar groups doing the same to public barbecues too - so I never, ever use them. Makes me shudder when I see fmailies feeding little toddlers off them and hoisting toddlers up to drink out of the water fountains - YUK

Never. We had it drummed into us as school kids that the water troughs/bubblers/fountains were a seething mass of dreaded hepatitis. We had water troughs with long rows of taps that had big bell like bottoms with prongs protruding. Hideous things. *lightning bolt* I bet this is why I have never been a water drinker. It is a real effort for me to drink water. It is tea, tea, tea all the way for me.

Yes, sorry to scare you all, but my friend & I have a sip from 2 of them, every day we walk together for the 3k's around where we live.
