Couples dancing

Social dancing used to be very popular many years ago.

Do you still go out for social dancing, even if you are single?

No I don't.

When I was young I went to a couple of Church dances....but that's it.

I think it is good for older people like myself, and we have it at the hall in the village I live.
I don't go.....not my scene.

Good form of exercise 'any' age.!
No. I would like to because I love to dance, but my husband does not.

Bah! Three of us on one page who didn't/don't dance because somehow we married people who don't. All the dances I've turned down so as not to upset the non dancer. Can you hear that? I think it's the rocks in my head. Of course it's too late now . . . if I tried to boogey my oogey would fall off.

Oh my gosh! LOL! I'm sure it isn't that bad! Dancing is so much fun! I'll always remember the time I once went to wedding where a woman, who was perhaps ten years older than my mother, was getting her groove on. I was in awe.

I never have other than one dance when I was about 16 I think. Shame, really.

I have not gone since I was much younger. It's been about 20 years or so for me! I do love to dance though! These days it happens around the house, usually with my young children.
Before I was married, I used to go out dancing almost every weekend. My boyfriend and I danced very well together. Unfortunately, my husband does not dance so it is not something I can do now. Lots and lots of single people go out dancing so you should be able to get a partner to dance with. My son took up dancing. He went there with a friend and had fun. He met his wife there and they were married last year. Great place to meet other people whilst having a fun time.
I've never done this. I think I'd look quite awkward. In addition, I'm usually the one providing the music.
Bravo you! You can be The Lord of The Music of The Dance. An honourable occupation.

I used to all the time, when i was single, its hard to find someone who can salsa. I go less frequently now that life is a little busier. But I do miss it and occassionally go out with the girls just to dance, or I force my partner to dance with me in the kitchen.
I love dancing, & in our courting days went to a local dance every Saturday Night.

Husband was an Instructor at a Dancing School, & more handsome than Paul Mercurio!
