I love soup and I make it when I feel like it. I would eat it on Christmas Day at 30 degrees if I felt the inclination. I only eat rice pudding when fresh out of the oven too - can't bear it cold. Seems you can take the pommie out of England but . . . LOL
I just LOVE homemade soup, and I don't care what the season is!!!! I do make it more often in the cooler months, but I also like to make a big pot of vegetable soup at any time of year!! It is so easy to digest,so nutritious,so filling as well as DELICIOUS!!
I have two 90 plus year old neighbours. I enjoy keeping them supplied with soup all year round. I make them with meat,Veges, lentils and barley or rice. This gives them a balanced nutritious meal which is easy for them to eat and digest. I deliver the soup in meal sized portions in microwave safe containers usually about 10 meals at a time. They love the different soups and are most grateful.
I always make soup in the winter as its comfort food and I believe it keeps me healthy. I make it for others who are time poor, mainly chicken and corn soup, I do it different ways all the time and do believe it keeps colds away.
I love soup. I make it as often as I can get away with. I frequently make soup for my lunch when I am alone. I sometimes make a chilled soup in Summer, but my husband isn't very enthusiastic about them.
