Do you consider yourself materialistic?

I think I am rather materialistic.
I like to spend money and money has always been important to me.

However I would rather be content and have less money, as is my situation nowadays, than be unhappy and have a lot of money, which was my situation a few years ago.

I am not,nor have I ever b een driven b y the love of money or the desire to own more and more to Keep Up With The Joneses!! I am content to have the bills paid,a roof over my head,food on the table,clothes on my back,and just a few little luxuries like my old books when I have a bit of spare cash! The big NEED in my life is to be able to care for my beloved dogs who are the world who are my world as I now live alone. There was never a lot of money when I was growing up,but there was heaps of love and happiness,so I never really aspired to more after seeing wealthy people who argued a lot and never seemed overly happy. I do not require the latest fashions to be well dressed,or the most expensive food brands to be well-fed.I do not cdrive so a fancy car means nothing to me either!!! I live a simple yet happy life and despite ill-health,I always can manage to smile and to enjoy the Simple Pleasures!

Not really. I mean, money is important because of the security it offers, but I don't care for material possessions much.

I think I'm quite materialisticI, like buying things. Money wouldn't make happy on its own, as there are lots of other factors involved, but it would make me happier having more - especially if it was enough not to have to work.

I don't think I'd be happier with more money, I'm a pretty happy person as it is, but I do think there would be things that were easier with more money. I'm not very materialistic at all I don't think.

I used to be materialistic but I have learned that there is no point - I now spend my money on things like travel rather than on pointless possessions

I'm the total opposite of 'materialistic'.

I have had to be in my line of work, and doing with 'just enough'.
Yes..I would be happier with more money, as doing without my whole life, has made me think 'poor too'.

I don't feel like I should have much, and except what I have no questions asked.

I would like the money to give my son his own bedroom and fix my bathroom, and car.Oh! and my teeth.

Hate running out of money, as have been used to having more than enough when working.
Now have to live with 'limited income' & it's giving me the .....!
It's a real 'feast week' & 'famine week' for me, literally!
Hate the situation with a passion!

No - I don't think I am. I have never considered money to be the most important thing in life, apart from the obvious security it offers. I am fortunate I have always been reasonably comfortable financially, although never what you would call wealthy. I think other things are more important than having a lot of money, ie health, family, relationships.
