I consider my writing to be both work and hobby. My "serious" writing on the whole woman hub is definitely a part of my work as a birth worker and activist and my "fun" writing on answer angels and other hubs is an awesome hobby. I love writing and would love to have more time to dedicate to both the serious and fun writing that I do.
Writig is a hobby that I use to turn off from my high pressure, long hours job. I woud be elated if I could change that but for now it isn't financially viable.
Hobby definitely. Though maybe once I've got my life a bit more sorted than it currently is, I might try to turn it into serious work. Though that might take all the fun out of it!
I think mine is somewhere between the two. It began as a hobby but I'm so passionate about it and about helping other writers gain confidence that I'm taking it much more seriously now. My ultimate goal (or maybe fantasy) is to retire from the 9 to 5 and just write to my hearts content.
When I was at school it was a hobby, but now I consider it work, as my aim is for it to be published and read by others, rather than for me personally.
I studied newsmedia and journalism so I could write. It's been years since I earned a weekly wage because I've been raising kids, so since I started earning money here it's definitely become a job. And how lucky am I! I get to write about stuff I'm passionate about!
