I do have a little input with my son, and he's fine.
He likes input, as he hasn't a real care for too much of the shopping-put-together-stuff....in clothes.
It drives him a little nuts...lol.
I certainly don't choose for him and I don't deliberately influence his choice but looking back, the clothes he wears have altered radically over the years we have been together! He wears a lot more colours now and even some patterned clothes. Apparently, this is down to me.... :)
It's up to him what he wears. Sometimes I buy him clothes I think will look nice on him, but only if I think he will like them too. I would resent somebody trying to choose my clothes for me as an adult. It seems patronising and controlling.
