Do women gossip about each other more than men?

Gossip, chat, judge, whisper, best friends, friends, girlfriends, talking

In TV shows, reality shows, movies and basically the media in general Women are often depicted as being huge gossips and as judging others harshly behind their backs. Perhaps at school we did it to be cool, to follow the crowd and fit in. But secretly, we went home wondering what they say about us behind our backs!

Do you think that Women are bigger gossips than Men? Do you think that the older we get the less we gossip? Do you think we judge others more harshly than our male counterparts do?

Do Men gossip just as much or more but we just don't know or don't hear much about it? Do you know Men who are massive gossips?

Both men and women gossip heaps. However, there is a perception that women gossip more than men.

Men do gossip for sure. My exhusband was a big gossiper. But the way he did it was asking questions about a rumor and sounded like as if he is not interested. That's most probably because the tone of his voice was so neutral. Have I asked exactly the same question, my intonation will all be up and down and most probably with gasps and broadening of the eyes.

O.K. big shock....but 95% of men do not even think to gossip!

I do not believe men gossip as we women do!
I think it is something that some women just do naturally, and enjoy doing it.
We also seem to have more same sex friends, and therefore probably speak more with friends than males do.
