Do enjoy visiting art galleries?

I LOVE ART Galleries.

I don't get to go that often, but when there is a chance...I'm gone.....

I love Contemporary Art, and really Art Full stop!

I do draw the line at certain 'outrageous (so-called art).Things like using real blood, urine, anything of that nature.
That I fine offensive, no matter how much the person wanted to shock & express.
Art is 'subjective'.
It is personal, and there are some people who do not understand say even contemporary art.
I try not to talk about it too much, because I can become slightly over passionate.
I'm just glad people have this amazing way to express what they see inside their heads, and yes...hearts!

I visit art galleries once in a while. I love ancient classical arts, especially the display of busts and ceramic art.

Love it, but they are often very same-y these days. There is a new gallery coming to Singapore, the Pinocotheque de Paris, and they had a taster exhibition last year, and it was the first time in a long time that I was really excited by the experience. They had Rembrandts and Picassos etc, but they weren't hung in style or chronological order, they were hung so 'you can see how they talk to each other', as a collecter would hang them in their house. The exhibit opened with a description about forgetting what you had been told about art and just see the paintings as they interact in the room. It was FABULOUS! The whole gallery opens in 2015 so if you love galleries, you want to make sure you go there.

Yes. In fact I'm planning to go with my kids this afternoon. We haven't been to an art gallery since they were really little so I'm looking forward to it.

enjoy your visit. Our main art gallery has workshops, gatherings etc. for children most weekends. When I look at what they are busy doing, they are so
inventive. Like libraries, art galleries are much different than they used to be.
I especially love black & white photogrphy, and I do like the portrait gallery in Canberra.

It's been a while since I've been to an art gallery. I tend to venture to museums.

Good fun. Sydney is now the home to independent art galleries. Especially on Oxford Street where the City of Sydney has offered grants for artists to set up their art space there.

Depends what's on! Have had some excellent displays over last few years' which I happily attended.
'The Prado' was last one I saw! Loved it, as it reminded me of my very pleasant time seeing it in Madrid!
