Yes, they certainly do!
My stomach just does not like ANY sort of bean any more, even though I really like them and used to buy them fresh and cook them.
Even tried refried beans in a tin in a recipe, and still my stomach was not happy.
A friend brought over Mexican rice with mashed black beans and my stomach did not stop making noises that she could hear sitting in the same room as me!
Beans and me do not go well together!!
I don't eat them, as they are known to do that to a fair few people.
Just something I have not had in many years, sad really because they are a nice food.
Not expensive, and go with most other food groups.
I didnt mean necessarily tinned baked beans but all beans -even chick peas have the same affect on me!
Yes same thing with all of them....so have to leave well alone. :(
I'm sure they have the same effect on
all people. And those who say otherwise are lying! LOL.
no, they dont actually - I have a friend and they do not affect her at all -perhaps it gets worse as you get older though you are certainly not even half my age!
They do NOT affect me in any major way at all!!! And I am too honest for my own good in many situations!!!
Not that I have ever bean(been!!!) aware of! I have never been a fan of tinned baked beans,so I do not know about those, but other beans have not done anything ghastly to me.
They are ok when taken in moderation
But look out when there is an overdose
I'm okay with baked beans but green beans sometimes do affect me slightly.
They don't bother me at all, I can quite truthfully say. I have them now and again for lunch to make a change from sandwiches.
Not that I know of, They're nice on toast, although i'd rather have tin spag' on toast if I had to choose between the 2.
No. I think that mostly happens if you don't eat them very often. If you eat beans and other pulses all the time your system gets used to them. It also helps to make sure you prepare them right (eg. soaking them long enough if you use dried ones).
Ah, beans. Beans, beans, beans. I shall not take my answer any farther . . .
toot toot.
Love tinned Baked Beans, on fresh bread, with lots of pepper!
Also have them on Toast. Enjoy tinned Spaghetti, same way.
Green beans I enjoy steamed, or juiced. Sometimes juice beans & carrots, or beans & apple. Sooooo good!
I like spaghetti in a can
much more than beans I'd say....
but some folk love their beans so much
they're simply "blown away".......
I'll eat my chick peas, refried too
but baked beans I don't covet.
and those that do..won't tell you so...
but you'll soon catch wind of it!
I am sure everyone has that effect;) But I never used canned beans. I usually soak beans overnight, drain them and then pressure cook them. It definitely brings down the gas causing component in it.
