Did you write out the birth stories of your babies?

Yes I did. It's nice to have them to refer to because as amazing as it is at the time, you do forget.

Both of my births were quite traumatic - physically and emotionally. I've recently been writing out the birth stories as a way of helping me to process what happened and to heal. I've been writing them mostly in poetry form and have shared on the whole woman hub. I have shared these in various birth trauma groups that I am in, but I don't know if I will ever share them with my children. Maybe one day... I would like to do up versions that I would be comfortable sharing with the kids.

No I would not have even thought of doing this!

I had Caesarians and at that time it was a full anesthetic and I was not so well afterwards for a week or so.

I have actually never heard of anyone doing this for the actual birth and do not know how you would do it as wouldn't you forget fairly quickly?

Not having had a natural birth I do not know.
