No!
I fell asleep at around 8.30 pm - what a stick in the mud - none of my friends did anything this year - we are getting too old and all go to bed early like old ladies - which we ARE!

Speak for yourself Finy. You are as old as you feel !!

We went out for dinner and after that was a band playing Neil Diamond songs. We were able to stay for a few hours and had a few dances. My husband had to work that night so we came home, and I watched the midnight fireworks. He called me from work just before midnight, as he was able to watch the fireworks at work, so we saw it together. I think I went to bed not long after they finished and read my book. I'm a bit of a night owl and I am up almost every night at midnight, unless I am sick.
No, New Year is just another day on the calendar. The only reason I would be up is because of irritating people launching fireworks and keeping me awake.
I did. . . . only because the new idiots next door were so loud that I was still awake at 2 a.m.
Other than that, it was like everybody else had gone to the moon.

I actually did. I surprised myself that I managed to stay awake until midnight!

We always stay home on New Year's Eve, drink bubbly & watch the 9pm, & then the midnight fireworks on the TV. This last Christmas, (2018) we were visiting our youngest daughter & her partner for Christmas in Melbourne (from Sydney NSW). We usually return to Sydney on Dec 28th, but on the 27th Dec he invited us to stay on for the new year, so we drank, ate lovely food, & watched the Sydney fireworks on TV. (He had to go to work the next morning.) I love staying home & staying up on NY'sE!

Took a group of about 20 up a mountain (Mt Maroon in SE Qld). We watched the sun go down on 2018, partied all night then turned around and watched the sun rise on 2019. :) Fantastic night. I am in my mid-60s so not young anymore, but had a ball. Planning on doing similar again at the end of this year. But a different mountain this time.
Ho hum. Couldn't sleep as those infernal Lebanese drums banged away from early in the evening until around 1.00 a.m. so no point in going to bed. Heard the local fireworks go off but couldn't be bothered dragging myself outside to watch the sky light up. Then around 2.00 a.m. more idiots in the street setting off fireworks.
